Gaming Game recommendations for building and engineering

Been looking for more games to play that are focused on building with machines. I'm a fan of Factorio but want something that has a more open-ended base bulding system rather than just being about production, plus more survival mechanics. Stationeers has been good so far, though it murders my computer because graphics. Space engineers was okay, but there wasn't much of an incentive to build anything other than 1 construction machine and a basic car. Going to space was clunky and felt like a waste of effort.

Any recommendations?

I’m knowledgeable about basically every type of game except these tbh, can’t advise much. If Terraria counts as one then maybe that, its sorta fun

I'm already studying physics maths and chemistry at college so I can stick to studying if I want. I just want to gamermaxx when I'm bored.

I recall the time I entered the "programming world". I spent hours programming for a 3D game community. It was lovely.
