I don't know why, but having your brain in a mechanical body, or even most of your body parts replaced with machinery freaks me the fuck out, and gives me an uneasy feeling.
Probably because of how unnatural it is and sometimes looks, especially if you can see their brain like with Dr. Gero, general grievous or Baxter stockman.
I can think of a few characters who have been fully cyborgified in fiction, aside from this three.
Like the major from hellsing, motoko kusanagi, Dr weil, Mr freeze from batman tas, Dr nefarious, raiden and most of the characters from mgr:r and frost in mortal kombat.
Shit, with frost, one of her intros shows her head and spinal chord being fitted into a mechanical body for her.
Fucking gross and morbid.
