It’s a very scary game and the atmosphere is just brilliant.

But like all horror games without weapons, it gets repetitive. That’s why games like Left for Dead 2 are so replayable, no 2 fights will ever be the same.

This is just hide or run, and since your faster then all the other enemies, that’s pretty much all you have to do anyways. That, and combined with all the jump scares, which aren’t nearly as effective the second time, make replayabilty for this game an issue.

Again, it’s scary as hell. Very few games have created this much just pure dread about moving forward then Outlast. But chances are you won’t end up replaying this one as much as Resident Evil 4 or something.

at the end is something else entirely.

But by definition if all you can do is run, that limits the options. In, say RE 4 or 8, you can do different play throughs using different types of weapons. Here that not really a thing.

Don’t get me wrong, it’s a great game. But to me it felt a little limiting, I don’t know.

tbh you're right .
the one problem is outlast doesn't allow fighting so you can't try different outcomes.
