Being average isn't even good enough. I'll use myself as an example. Like most of us, well like most people in general, one usually has a slightly distorted viewpoint of themselves, either too much one direction or the other. I of course think I'm ugly as fuck (thus the name). Mostly this is due to my skinny-yet-pointy-and-uneven nose and rough-old-acne-scars skin. You can add super thin hair to that list, but I don't really stress over that. Most people I know say I look fine. People I don't know well say I look fine as well. Is everyone a liar, well perhaps not, but they are answering my question generally, not under the terms of relationship / mating / sexual means.
As far as the rest of my appearance goes, again like I said its all average: 5'9" 165lbs, slightly athletic build, well groomed, proper hygiene...etc etc. And what does that get me, not a whole lot, that's what.
And as far as personality type: I am shy in certain circles (like some family members) but generally I am outgoing. This did not come easy as I had to work to get myself to be more talkative. I have no issues approaching strangers on the street to converse about something, but I am also not approaching them to ask on a date. Context is key here. Talking to a girl, hot - ugly - fat - thin - young - old is not an issue if I am not pursuing her. I actually talk to women professionally almost daily due to work. However in these situations, unlike talking to my male clients, talking to women is 10000% professional and I don't let it stray into personal even an inch.
anyway, rambling. Moral of this post (obvious shit): Don't be ugly, also don't be average. This should only encompass about 75% of all adult males in the world. WTF.
