Serious From an atheistic perspective, how is incel suicide (or any suicide for that matter) a tragedy?

Think about it. If God's not real, and there's no objective moral values, how can it be said that one should value life over death? Sure, death precludes one from having pleasurable sensations, but so what? Those are fleeting, and if you are dead, then there's no pleasure to have desires about. No more jealousy, rage, or responsibility.

If you don't have anyone who loves you, or if you kill those who love you as well, then it's not at all tragic or immoral IMO.

It's not tragic, only sad.
As for people who care about you, the female ones, including your mother, don't matter in this situation.
Women are extremely resistant to emotional trauma and "reset" their emotions from day to day.
And many of those will take the opportunity to use your suicide as a social media opportunity to virtue signal and gain victim points, gaining profit from your suicide.
Also it's uncertain whether they can love you in the first place.

What's more, if those who love you blame you for roping because it made them sad, they are the immoral ones who can't take your suffering into account. It's pure selfishness on their part. They will understand and feel glad that you are no longer suffering if they love you. Sometimes the ones you love have to die because of various reasons outside of moral control.

I used to be a Christian — thought I spoke to god/Yahweh every day — my father was a pastor for awhile (til he got caught cheating lmao) and I even attended a Christian Uni.

I deconverted over the course of several years — basically in all the Uni apologetics courses they covered many of the arguments for the existence of a higher power and what have you which I then went and researched on my own.

Found papers like Bertrand Russell’a “Is there a god?” And “Why I am not a Christian” as well as watched a lot debates between people like Sam Harris and the like.

In the end, my personal conclusion after wavering for 2-3 years was ultimately that I never had actually talked with god and if there is a god(s) then he’s probably not who Christians believe them to be. Also, pretty much all of the arguments used by theists are thoroughly and repeatedly documented fallacies and have been for centuries (teleological argument/moral argument/first cause/eye witnesses (there are living eye witnesses claiming to have been abducted by space aliens for what it’s worth and eye witnesses to the miracles of a con artist like Satya Sai Baba, etc).

Despite this I genuinely regret going down the rabbit hole as I was far FAR happier when I was religious — at least then I had heaven to look forward to. Now I know I would’ve been better off never having been born. Also, Islam for example and traditional Christianity is way more based about women than the rest of society — it’s hilarious to me how modern Christianity retcons all the Bible verses that are now considered “misogynistic” rofl.

If I recall correctly wasn’t it King Solomon that said he searched all the earth and found just a few upright men and no upright women? Ecclesiastes is a pretty based book.
