Next weekend is my friends bday and our group of friends are planning to go to a few clubs/bars on saturday. However, there are some nice boxing matches on saturday night that are not 10/10 matchups but pretty decent. Should I go the the club and socialize or watch some boxing with my dad on saturday night or record the fights and watch them on sunday

Why would you miss an opportunity to hang out with people you see as friends

I think its hard for me to get out of habits, I haven't been out with them in like 4 months, plus I feel like I may miss a historic night in boxing if I go. Guess I'll just stay off the phone during down times and ask my dad not to watch til sunday

Depends which you want more. Do you want tohang with your friends and possibly ascend more than you want to see Jeff Horn STING Crawford TO DEATH?

In all seriousness you should prolly go with your friends. The handful of fights next week are good, but not so good they can't be missed, all of them have clear favorites. You'd probably regret not going to the club if LSC, Crawford, and Charlo predictably win unfettered in the process, and that has a high chance of happening. Then again you might regret not seeing upset of the century if Horn manages to BUZZ Crawford out of existence.

Good point, in most boxing forums people are saying that Horn's size advantage will overwhelm the skill gap, can't tell if they are trolling or not LOL

Plus you are absolutely right, I don't want to see Trout get battered for 12, LSC outwork Mares, or even Crawford stop Horn(As entertaining as it sounds)

The real problem would be if I miss Errol the following week LOL

true, but its a bro's bday

I think anyone, outside of the Aussies, who are backing Horn are doing so ironically lol
But who knows. Contrary to popular opinion I think that Horn actually had a somewhat decent case for his victory against Pacquiao, and as time goes by Crawford's best opponents seem to look progressively less impressive (Postol got dropped by a domestic level fighter, Indongo looked like an actual can against Prograis, Gamboa lost to Castellanos and should have taken an L against Sosa, and Diaz lost to a journeyman) so it's getting hard to tell whether or not he's the real deal or if he's a king of bums. So maybe we might see a miracle next week, with The Hornet scoring his second major underdog victory, but it's probably not worth missing something important to find out if he can since chances are Crawford will just grind him out easy to a stoppage or incredibly lopsided decision.

I'm tuning into Spence's fight, but that's probably one where if you were inclined to you could just watch the highlights the next day lol. He's no doubt gonna crush Ocampo. Shame on the IBF for making that guy Spence's mandatory, it's getting progressively harder for Spence to find a good opponent willing to fight him.

I honestly think the Porter Garcia winner will fight him next, Fuck keith.

Spence's time is limited at 47 tho

Watch it homie, i'm a big fan of Thurman.
But yeah, that's a fight that's not happening anytime soon. I'm hurt more than any Spence fan by Thurman's long inactivity. He had such a hot streak taking on guys like Porter and Garcia back to back only for him to now be out of the ring for over a year because his body is so injury-prone. I fear that when he does come back he'll be a very different fighter than he was before, which means whatever Thurman rises from the ashes won't be as willing to take on Spence like the old Thurman probably would have.

I doubt Porter-Garcia's winner is going to be jumping at Spence though. Spence's name hasn't even entered Porter's mouth, and Garcia seems just as hesitant to mention Spence too.

I feel you brother, but why are you bringing this up right now?

Not hating on Keith, I respect anyone who picked up the gloves, and I get that Keith is hurt right now and he is technically the "Champ" at 47, but I just don't like the way he's been responding to the Errol question in interviews, bad bad PR.

BTW, I'm gonna PM you a pretty cool picture I took 5 years ago

Checking in after my experience last night.

Our group went out to the bars last night and ran into two girls from high school that we knew. At first they completely ignored me but then started asking me what was going on with my life. It felt good telling them that I was working at a local state agency, while they were only working at a hair salon.

Anyway, it was pretty dull tbh.
