Title basically, for school dances we all used to go together in a bus and take pictures at a friends (was brutally mogged but still fun). But for prom all my friends have dates and despite their efforts, could not get me one of my own. For prom I will be eating dinner by myself and driving myself to the venue. This is seriously my best chance I will ever have at teen love and im fucking panicking not wanting to fuck this up. Im shooting my shot with everyone there and if I dont at least dance with one I dont know how ill be able to cope.

THIS. This was my prom experience, I sat on a couch for 4 hours playing polytopia on my phone. Shit was terrible. Fuck that honestly, proms are honestly there for the popular people. Honestly, save yourself the time and go out on your own or just sit at home and play games, it's a far better use of your time and you'll feel far better trust me.

Wild thing is... none of my friends went to the "prom". I put it in quotes because I think it was called a ball.

It was expensive to go and sounded really boring and stuff so a big group of us had a party around one of our houses.
