My unpopular opinion that sounds pretty bad, let me explain:
Fortite exploited a lotta things that constitute the decline of modern gaming; micro transactions, like the battle pass; crossovers and in-game events, like concerts, bosses, OP players; the perfect money-making machine that, like it or not, infected future titles that came with an online mode.

Personally I don't enjoy online games nor online battle royales, it's pretty much the same to me, but I believe Fortnite is the sloppest game out there, and the worst part is that it works. There will always be a collab or a crossover, or an event that will engage people. The system works as intended, everything is going just fine with the status quo. It's ovER.
