Is it worth saving up for a high in quality pair of boots?
The ones presented in the link are steel capped and all, but I would have to squeal to my father for money to afford them.

Imo yes. Stitched genuine good leather boots or shoes will last you for years. If you buy with a steel cap its best to try them on, because some manufacturers make too large toe box while some dont, so you could easily buy wrong size. I had 42 that were too small and 43 that were way huge.
