Foreign students in the EU:
ec.europa.eu
>8.4% of the total
>40% other Europeans in total
>50%+ other Europeans in most EU countries, mostly the smaller and middle-sized ones
>Still a notable share (30%+) of the total in most large countries (Spain, Italy and Germany)
>In only two countries does the share of foreign students which are from the rest of Europe fall below 30%, those being France, which admittedly is a large country, and Portugal
>Take other Europeans out and focus only on non-Europeans, it's only about 5% in total, a similar share in most countries except maybe France, and it becomes a negligible percentage in quite a few countries
Foreign students in Russia:
>Same total percentage as in the EU
>The big difference is, 95%+ are non-Europeans
>The only Europeans there are former USSR republics, all the growth and "diversification" is coming from the other non-Western countries replacing the former USSR
>Nobody even brings up Europeans and North Americans when talking about Russia's international students, their numbers are absolutely negligible and irrelevant in the discussion
All in all, this unfortunately just seems to follow overall immigration demographics, as I remember from a conversation I had here with @DarkStar. For all the memes, what ifs, and theoretical scenarios of white Europeans mass leaving their "anti-white" societies and moving to "based and trad" Russia, it's painfully clear that EU citizens are mostly interested in moving to other EU countries to study, work and live, while non-EU Europeans are overwhelmingly concerned with getting the ability to do what the former can, with Russia seeming to be simply unable to pull notable numbers of Westerners, or just Europeans, into itself.
