Foreign students in the EU:

>8.4% of the total
>40% other Europeans in total
>50%+ other Europeans in most EU countries, mostly the smaller and middle-sized ones
>Still a notable share (30%+) of the total in most large countries (Spain, Italy and Germany)
>In only two countries does the share of foreign students which are from the rest of Europe fall below 30%, those being France, which admittedly is a large country, and Portugal
>Take other Europeans out and focus only on non-Europeans, it's only about 5% in total, a similar share in most countries except maybe France, and it becomes a negligible percentage in quite a few countries

Foreign students in Russia:

In Russia, a record has been set for the number of foreign students studying in higher educational institutions of the country. On July 10, 2024, Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education of Russia Konstantin Mogilevsky said that in 2024, about 355 thousand foreign students study at Russian universities. This is the highest indicator in the history of the Russian education system.
According to Konstantin Mogilevsky, this record figure was achieved thanks to targeted work to attract foreign students, which is part of the strategic plan for the development of Russian higher education. In 2023, the number of foreign students was about 8% of the total number of students in Russia, which is about 4 million people.
As he writes, "TASS" most foreign students come from countries,,, and CIS China. Iran India Africa There is also a significant increase in the number of students from and Latin America.
At the same time, in recent years, the influx of students from Africa Egypt(,,,) and (,), Algeria Nigeria Zimbabwe Latin America Colombia Ecuador as well as from countries (,,) has significantly increased Middle East. In Iran Syria addition, Iraq the number of students from, and on India the programs of the specialty, preserved in Russia mainly in the field, has noticeably increased. medicine
Every tenth student in Russia is a foreigner. Most are from the post-Soviet countries of Central Asia, Belarus and Azerbaijan.

From far abroad Russia to most often sends students - there are China already 40 thousand of them. The number has doubled since 2016.

Indian students in Russia 18.5 thousand, Egyptian - 10.5 thousand. In previous years, Vietnam was still in the top (4.5 thousand).
Basically, students from Kazakhstan (61 thousand students), Uzbekistan (48.7 thousand students), China (32.6 thousand students), Turkmenistan (30.6 thousand students), Tajikistan (23.1 thousand students), India (16.7 thousand students), Egypt (12.4 thousand students), Belarus (10.2 thousand students), Ukraine (9.1 thousand students) and Kyrgyzstan (8.6 thousand students).

>Same total percentage as in the EU
>The big difference is, 95%+ are non-Europeans
>The only Europeans there are former USSR republics, all the growth and "diversification" is coming from the other non-Western countries replacing the former USSR
>Nobody even brings up Europeans and North Americans when talking about Russia's international students, their numbers are absolutely negligible and irrelevant in the discussion

All in all, this unfortunately just seems to follow overall immigration demographics, as I remember from a conversation I had here with @DarkStar. For all the memes, what ifs, and theoretical scenarios of white Europeans mass leaving their "anti-white" societies and moving to "based and trad" Russia, it's painfully clear that EU citizens are mostly interested in moving to other EU countries to study, work and live, while non-EU Europeans are overwhelmingly concerned with getting the ability to do what the former can, with Russia seeming to be simply unable to pull notable numbers of Westerners, or just Europeans, into itself.

Yup that's correct. We absolutely don't have any europeans migrating in here, I don't even have friends/acquaintances to practice english with irl :fuk: it's all just central asians and some indians, the latter becoming more frequent lately. I sometimes see black guys, like once a week, but they usually speak something that doesn't sound like english at all to me :feelshaha:

Also central asians are usually very disrespectful to the culture and people here, in my experience, and they tend to form hoods and large groups and they carry that "don't mess with me" unfriendly vibe everywhere. They don't care if they're guests here, they carry themselves like they own the place

So yes, it's not very "trad and based" here I'd say

About central Asians. Do you think it's a soviet legacy? I heard the same stuff about Russians and Ukrainians.

Honestly, I don't know. Maybe these central asian cultures still believe that russia is their second home since it used to be a one big playground for everybody not that long ago, and that's why they feel entitled and lack respectful behaviour. Or maybe they teach their sons this barbarian type of masculinity in which you have to take whatever the fuck you want out of life with no regard to morality or fairness, or you're a pussy ass bitch if you don't.
Maybe it's both.

I can only say that, if I was a foreigner in a place that gives me wast economical opportunities, compared to what I had in mine, I'd be fucking grateful and humble as fuck. :feelshaha:

Hmm what quality of students are they
attracting then? Random from jumbo university or local universities that produced elite talent like Sharif in Iran?

I encounter the second type of people (I mean natives, not foreigners) in my country and it's really annoying. I always hope those aggressive "true" men end up getting cucked in some way.

Unfortunately, some people need to be physically taught manners, and they don't understand words or politeness. I wish it wasn't the case, but it is. Not all people are inherently good and some are just evil and selfish and will never change, no matter the culture.

Interesting to see Croatia and Estonia having above-average share of North American students:feelswhere:. They are the rarest group of foreigners there, just like Russia doesn't really get any Westerners, Europe only gets a few North Americans, they have their own high-level and elite universities to attend, so there isn't much of a need for them to get European education. I remember seeing another source which claimed only 2% of foreign students in the EU are from North America, and it seems to fit well with the graph.

Denmark makes sense as it's one of the very richest EU countries, Iceland has a very tiny population, same could be said for Malta, and Americans seem to love Ireland and its where a lot of them are from, but Croatia and Estonia also having more than average of them is just surprising:feelsjuice:.

I don't think anyone's been tracking that unfortunately. Would be interesting to know.

Foreigners will be able to apply to Russian universities online

It's no secret to anyone what kind of foreigners...

At the moment, there are more than 40 universities that will come from 22 regions of our large country, 9 of them are research centers, and you understand that this is a very high level of universities, these are federal universities, we will have a lot of newcomers this time, we are very glad that we have Uzbek partners, they also want to show their education, and for example, the Mirzo Ulugbek National University joined us this year. They will also have their own master class. And I am very glad that we have such an opportunity to show the achievements of Uzbek universities at this exhibition.
Our quota campaign started on September 15, just like last year, the number of quotas for Uzbekistan is 810. Of course, the most desirable field is medicine, medicine, economics, law, and all other fields, which are also in demand. These are more than 400 universities throughout Russia, and almost all regions are waiting for their new applicants. The most important thing is that they come on a budget, it's free education. Secondly, they are provided with a hostel as foreigners. Even if the hostel is not free, they have a very good discount compared to, for example, Russian guys who will not have this discount. Plus, they naturally get access to all the resources of the university where they study, including library, websites, and everything possible that universities currently provide, you need to think about not just the direction where your child will study, but you need to think about everything down to the smallest detail. Many choose regions, for example, those where relatives live, for example, that is, they send the child closer, for example, a cousin lives there, one of the relatives and they promise to look after the child, again, we understand that 16-17 years old, he will return alone to another country, of course, the parent is calmer if there is already someone there, it chooses not only the university, but its territorial location., then you don't have to chase after big cities, you need to think about the child and yourself, how you will worry about him later, and in any case, parents then go to their children, children come here on vacation, you definitely need to think about the cost of tickets, yes, about the cost of living, about the cost of living in the city. Well, there is such a large set of things that need to be thought out in advance before you apply for a quota and write those desired universities that you want to enroll in. Of course, I advise everyone to write motivation letters to universities, and it should not just be a letter saying "I am such and such, I want to study at your university", but this letter should reflect the soul of the child, why he should go according to the quota, why he should enroll in this wonderful Russian university. and why he wants to be a doctor, for example. I strongly advise everyone to use our national Russian mail services in order to correctly upload all files to education-in-russia.com . This is how the program works, which is better to use mail.ru , yandex.ru and other services to ensure that everything is displayed correctly. Please note that you need to upload a foreign passport to the application form, it does not have to be a local ID card because you will travel on a foreign document, yes, you will cross the border. I strongly advise you to familiarize yourself with the migration rules in advance. Yes, we all know very well that it is difficult right now, it is very stressful. Yes, people are worried like my child at the border. If everything is fine with your documents, if you are not involved in anything and everything is fine with you, you will pass the border perfectly, fill out your migration card, go to the university, they will definitely register you there at the university and you will be a full-fledged student, a student ID and enjoy all the benefits of the Russian Federation on an equal basis with our Russian guys.

The free hostels are the most brutal part:worryfeels:.

What's the point if they don't make money?
Virtue-signalling thirdworldism and the possibility of those students permanently migrating to Russia.

AfroEurAsianism
I don't know if this is a real concept, but it should be obvious that we have more in common with Native Americans and even Aboriginal Australians than with Black Africans.

Central Asians exist solely to conquer other people. That’s just how it is. All they’ve ever done is conquer people

The Russian Federation has allocated 5,369 places for the education of African students
Russia sees African youth as partners, not clients.
