Funny thing is, those "ugly" exes are typically looksmatched to the woman in question, and even better looking sometimes; they simply cherry-pick the worst photo possible, and the best photo of themselves (i.e., makeup, angles, lighting) — all so they can feel better about themselves — and that’s without mentioning the inherent perceptual bias they are susceptible to.
