And I quote "Was literally coming here to post the same post… we’ve finally ripped the ring doorbell of the wall since it’s not worked properly for the last 6 months dispite only being 3 years old and paying the pricey subscription… it’s stopped detecting motion even if you danced and waved your arms in front of it.. you could ring it and 8 out of 10 times it would just ring to itself; not through all 3 echos in the house, the chime or either of our phones!
Then our echo show in the kitchen has started heavily advertising things to us even though I’m sure I was able to turn that off when we first got it 3 years ago. It’s clearly listening to what we are saying as well because we’ve been struggling with infertility for years and whenever we’ve had a sometimes very emotional conversation in the kitchen the next few days it will start suggesting we bulk buy Huggies nappies or asks if I would like to buy x100 baby wipes!? Im sick of seeing an insensitive billboard in my kitchen every time I go to make dinner!!!
Then the echo dot with clock display lives in our bedroom that will blind us with its display every night even though we’ve set it to stay dim and not adjust itself… somehow it will adjust itself minutes after we’ve corrected it every time!! My husband has resorted to putting his socks over the display every night so we don’t have an unwanted nightlight with a mind of its own! Last but not least the same echo dot for years now dispite me doing all the research online and countless research will without fail every night at 3:10am TURN ITS VOLUME UP!… we can be already awake or lightly sleeping and at 3:10 bOoP! It turns up for not reason!!
Goodbye “sMaRt DeViCeS” from the shadiest company ever, thanks for nothing!"
If they spent a fraction of the time doing anything at all rather than complaining and crying, they could probably get something done once in awhile.
