I'm sorry she died. But I don't get how women can't see the inherent correlation of "wanting a super strong, buff man" and "violent tendencies."

Like, yeah, women want men who can protect them from harm. It's in their biology. But it's not hard to figure out logically that you shouldn't strive for the absolute top of the class in fitness / strength, because chances are, there is a reason why they got there. And that reason is usually roids / violent tendencies / heavy insecurity.
