astrobot was alright, lost some excitement, but the ending was alright and satisfying. procastinated or delayed finishing the game off.

a few minutes after finishing astrobot.

decided to try hogwarts legacy (still near the beginning, but however the gameplay feels a little whack).

has anyone played astrobot and/or hogwarts legacy? how did you find it?

To be fair there really isn't much else to play if he's looking for modern games to play.

I know that feeling when you finish a game that you've at least quite enjoyed and then there is this emptiness and you procrastinate.

As for my favourite games, I wish I could erase those memories and replay them again, to re experience those favourite games.

I used to play a fair bit of Astros Playroom. There was 1 jigsaw puzzle piece I never found. I completed everything and speedran the maps, but that single damn jigsaw on the jungle map I could never find.

I didn't like the story but I did enjoy the combat system even though it gets repetitive. This could be a anecdotal take though. Games that have good parry mechanics excite me (sifu, lies of p and sekiro. My favourite games in the past decade).

I'm not saying the parry system is amazing like the aforementioned games but it is decent

It's terrible, the best way to describe it is that it wasn't made for gamers, but tourists who want to walk around an empty castle

Is Astro Bot really worth GOTY? It seems like a kids’ game to me which put me off in ever playing it.

I finished the free astrobot for PS5, is an easy platinum.

I think it got GOTY sometime in 2024. I probably wouldn't say it deserves GOTY, however, it's a little unique.

It's for all audience like Mario.

I platinumed Astro Bot around the time it came out, it's a fun game. I'm jumping back in soon since I have a PS5 Pro now and it's enhanced for it, also has new free DLC levels.

Hogwarts I played a few years ago, I like it since I'm into Harry Potter but it can get repetitive. I'm going to play it again on PC soon.

I don't think it's GOTY but it's a good game, it's for people that like platformers such as Crash Bandicoot, Spyro The Dragon, LittleBigPlanet, Mario etc. If you don't like those then you're not going to like this.

If you have interest in the harry potter universe and lore, then you'll get something out of Hogwarts legacy.

never even touched hogwarts legacy since its combat looked like slop. From what i have seen, the combat just is you casting a spell and dodging. I doubt that the story is noteworthy either. Just seems like an extremely mediocre game.

there is a bunch… silent hill 2, doom, resident evil, hollow knight, kingdom come deliverence 2 etc

I played astrobot when it first came out but didn’t get far
I liked it though

the features like flying on the broom and the open world in general were nice, other than that the game got too repetitive for me

My standards are low, I thought the graphics were good enough, but yeah pro/enhanced, that's going to be wild. Didn't know they had the DLC thing.

Yeah, I've also watched Harry Potter in the past as well. I do like the whole fantasy magic lore and setting thing. Usually, the pc gaming buttons would be harder? At least I've heard that for Dark Souls. I've tried it on PC, but didn't get past the second boss, may try dark souls in the PS5, sometime after.

At the moment it's alright. The only thing that bugs me about Hogwarts Legacy is that the side quests has more requirements than the main quests? I suppose it's whatever. Probably not going to get 100% completion of this game anyway. Have you tried it?

If you have nothing to do, may as well give it another ago. Although the suspense may be since you've already gotten a handle of it.

Yeah I've completed the main story, a few years back when it was first released.

You should try getting the platinum trophy for Astrobot, it’s easy.
