...imagery. The profile pictures and such. I went through a mild anime phase in my early teens but ever since it's been irrelevant to me. A little gay seeming if anything.
But lately I've been studying on it a little and I kind of get it. The colors and the lights, cool stuff. Upbeat but usually not corny music. Has a certain electric energy to it. It's more than that to a lot of you I'm sure but that's about the scope of it to me right now.
Makes sense too because East Asian cultures as a whole basically came to be as they are now by ancient peoples eating a lot of shrooms and having Xiaolin battles of the will and what have you. No surprise Japanese animation reflects this breathless cerebral sort of style more than Western animation, which is mostly trash, by far. Pixar in particular is creepy and souless but I do digress.
