In a twisted turn of events, I have another life goal that ties in very nicely with my long term weight loss goal. In fact, this is a goal I am embarked to take on, and mandated by natural events or Gods if you believe it.

My TEEEEEEEETH.

My goal, is to save up enough money (estimated somewhere from 4000$ to 10000$) to fix it. How?

  • My personal expenses as of recent were 20$. I plan to cut this to about 5$, which will save me money over time.
  • I also plan to eat less to improve my oral health.
  • I plan to brush my teeth in the morning as well as night (My regular routine was flossing + brush at night)
  • I will give up goyslop drinks (most of which are acidic) and use them for utility purposes (for example if I really need energy, i.e. Monster)

Having something to work towards is amazing feeling, especially after you left school and are too old for youth organizations. It is like a lighthouse in which my boat could rely on; otherwise I am just drifting into nothingness.

Even if that goal will not ascend me, it is important for my professional life which I believe will improve my odds in future job dealings. An investment that will actually produce return, if you will.

An investment that will produce returns, if you will. And I never take out loans.

I'm rooting for you! I have been trying to be kinder on my teeth too, recently. I went to some jeet dentist a while ago, but honestly, I'm pretty sure he overcharged like crazy and did a pretty poor job. It's strange because I thought that he was supposed to be this more 'accomplished' and 'professional' dentist considering how popular his clinic was.

I've always wanted braces, just so that I can fix my teeth and make them perfectly straight. But now I also have my wisdom teeth to apparently worry about...

You don’t have to eat less you just need to cut out sugar and things that convert to sugar as much as humanly possible so…

That means no more soft drinks ie pop/soda and go low carb ie try not to eat bread and carbohydrates except in the very small amounts necessary to sustain life and of course make sure to brush and rinse your mouth out afterwards immediately since again sugar is what you want to avoid having your teeth being bathed in as it’s the fuel for the cavity causing bacteria that some of us unfortunately have in sufficient amounts to cause us problems ie cavities if we consume too much sugar which I myself do via my love of sugary soft drinks Coca Cola in particular.

Additionally you could also ask your dentist if they’d be willing to let you buy special prescription strength fluoride toothpaste from them that helps prevent cavities if you’re at risk.

I have some myself and believe it’s why I went an entire dental cycle with no recurring cavities despite having a mouth prone to them likely due to my bad cavity producing bacteria.

Though when I stopped using that toothpaste regularly my cavity problems returned.

That said in closing if you want to go the extra, EXTRA mile for dental health add a waterpik and an electric toothbrush to the above items.

You can still use a regular toothbrush at the beginning of the day or whenever you don’t feel like using the other stuff but for a really deep cleaning you should do all of the above as well use regular floss in addition to the waterpik to be extra thorough.

Consider a water flosser, you can get them for pretty cheap online and they can clean all the little nooks and crannies of plaque.
