He camps next to a 24 hour commercial gym that has a shower and only pays $40 a month for the membership.

This is a great way to save a ton of money ($40 gym membership vs $2000 a month in rent) but it would suck not having a fridge and a microwave.

The only thing that worries me about this are the car break-ins.

There will be times where I would wanna go for a long walk, hike, or jog. Or if I really wanna watch a movie at the theatres. Or maybe even just eat inside a restaurant. Also doing laundry would be a concern as well.

Any of you guys seriously thought about doing this?

I also plan on car camping. Seems like a very comfy thing to do in a high trust country.

Yea I can see how it can take a toll on you after a while.

In a house or apartment you can get up off your bed, stand up, walk around, and stretch.

You can't do that in an SUV unless you got one of those large camper/delivery vans.

Yea it's "no way to live" as people put it but as a last resort it could work.

Or if you were on a big saving/investing mission for the long term and willing to put up with the troubles ahead.

or tow-aways, i guess it’s lugging your vehicle around that sounds good and maybe that’s not a complete con. i mean i don’t think the lifestyle would be so hard and it’d be better than to be street homeless in the raw, wish i had a roomy truck but i’ve always had an “irrational” fear of driving so for interviews i’d walk 40+ mins on foot and back only to not get hired since i don’t have a bike nor can stand using the bus although i’ve attempted before. it was packed in the bus and i froze, after that i was all well i know i tried enough so i just walk if i have to get somewhere
