Most antagonists in fiction are just strawmans of anti society and anti human arguments. The Joker in dark knight takes actual legitimate valid criticisms of humanity and society and "proves" them wrong via a ridiculous scene that would never occur irl. (You all know what I'm talking about if you've seen the movie. I won't spoil it.)
