Since it's the centennial anniversary of WW1 today, let's take a moment to remember how feminists supported that war.
Feminists like Millicent Fawcett and Emmeline Pankhurst, leader of the British suffragette movement, urged people to support WW1. She called on men to die for their country, and groups such as the National Union of Women’s Suffrage Societies, and the Women’s Social and Political Union, the largest feminist organizations active at that time, echoed her call, drumming up further support for the war effort. Feminists especially called for forced conscription of men, knowing it would be the best way to get many reluctant men killed.
From these feminist calls from action, the white feather movement began to mobilize. Groups of feminist foids would surround men and humiliate them by forcing white feathers onto them, to signify their cowardice for not going to war. When these brave feminists couldn't gang up on men alone, they would send anonymous letters with a white feather to men. At a time when male honor was still a thing, to be called a coward by a foid was the ultimate humiliation. Many men who would have otherwise survived the war were pressed into their deaths thanks to the actions of the white feather feminists. Feminists also helped spread the government lies that the German Army was raping the women of Belgium, in order to press young men to die.
These feminists realized that by urging men to their deaths, the patriotards and the government would look more kindly upon their requests for equality, and likewise, having huge numbers of men die would shift the balance of power towards women, allowing them to gain further strides in "equality". As evidence for this, foids immediately mobilized to take advantage of the situation. Pankhurst organized enormous feminist marches demanding female admittance into union jobs, while feminists elsewhere demanded access to cushy government jobs and other positions of power.
Even as the bodies of millions of young men lay broken across no man's land, as their comrades had their minds broken by shellshock, as even teenage boys were crippled, maimed and blinded by the horrors of industrialized warfare, women sat back, relaxed and enjoyed their victories. All the male deaths in the war, naive young men who died for patriotism and country, all of it meant nothing to the women who sent them to die.
In the end, they won. Feminists got what they wanted out of WW1, and since then, feminists have kept on winning. As always, the blood of young men was used to purchase the victories of feminism.
"The least that men can do is that every man of fighting age should prepare himself to redeem his word to women." - Emmeline Pankhurst
