That was not the purpose of this post. The reasons this law seems unfair are
1. Death penalty is excessive punishment for sex, should only be reserved for murder
2. Hurts sex starved boys and men even if the crime is not violent and doesn't cause physical damage
3. Encourages false rape accusations
4. Makes India more westernized or female friendly which creates a slippery slope. The more rights you give to females the greater the increase in hypergamy and percent of incels.

I'll agree that it really depends on Indian culture and justice code. I don't know much about it, but I'd expect there to be consistency on capital punishment.
