This is how all media catering to teens girls is. A fucked up thing though is that the guys cast as Chad are usually WAY older than teen age. A 2015 movie about lookism called "The Duff" literally had a 27 year old guy as the Chad in high school. The Netflix '13 Reasons' show also was nearly all 20-somethings. This HAS to have some effect on teen expectations since they're basically being marketed older men as ideal youths.
