Football Stars In Iran Voice Support For Female Fan Who Set Fire To Herself
Two Iranian soccer superstars have sympathized with a young female football fan who set herself on fire on September 1, after being sentenced to jail for trying to enter a stadium and watch a men's soccer match.

Iranian culture doesn't allow females into soccer stadiums and that apparently angered one female so much that she set herself on fire. The female is bipolar so that explains her decision more than anything. Females only want to get into stadiums in Iran because they are restricted from doing so, not because they actually like sports. Any seat a female occupies in a stadium is wasted since only men can actually appreciate sports. An important thing to note is that there is no law against females entering stadiums, however, Iranian men have taken it upon themselves to limit female's freedom of movement.
