I don't have a particular favorite. It's what tool I've been given to work with. I see programming as my profession, not a hobby. (though if needed, I can code outside of work)
Besides language, what framework you're working on is also important.
If you want to work with websites, I think asp net is the best out of the bunch. Very easy to set up with no external dependencies.
That said, fuck C++. It's what I'm working with, and it makes my job difficult because of the extensive features and lack of basic features like the ability to easily convert data types.

I like C++, but in the work environment it can be painful if the project you're working on doesn't have a strong foundation and your fellow coworkers are average/mediocre, which is usually the case.

Except video games and professional grade softwares (Photoshop etc), which softwares really need to use C++ for its better performance? (If properly coded ofc).
Nowadays more things are moving to online, so java is a popular choice (webdev, mobile apps)
