I love fire starters, it just seems like the most violent option. Haven’t played a Pokémon game since Hoenn though

Water is go to pick pretty much the best all rounder of all you got decent attacks like surf, hydro pump, and dive and the type only has like 2 weakness iirc
fire types are edgy and overrated the type itself is underwhelming that is sometimes carried by it's dual type. Not the worst just mediocre. There are reasons why blazikens and infernapes best moves are fighting.

grass types are hard mode difficulty kind of interesting playstyle that heavily relies on stalling and actually a knowledge check of the game before they release the killing machine torterra

Alola was the last one but I got bored with the storyline
Fire or Grass depending on generation, I rarely go water.
