The Turbografx actually had a 8bit CPU IIRC but i'd say it still counts

SNES/SFC is unbeaten. I would be lying if I didn't say the Genesis had some real bangers though. And the PCE's library had some really solid titles, but most of their bangers were Japan only IIRC.

Sega mega Drive/ Genesis is the absolute winner - Phantasy Star, Shining Force and other JRPGs are the best there is.

Yeah, kind of. Thankfully you can basically play all of its games today thanks to emulation and fan-translation romhacks
