In the past, it was family that helped their offspring to find a partner.

In the case of women, it was the fathers who vetted potential partners, but men also had a lot of help.

For example, if they saw you were single, they would suggest you to introduce you to other young women, for example, a relative who has a friend with a young daughter, and things like that.

But the family in the modern age doesn't give a fuck anymore, they just wait for you to get a girlfriend on your own.

In my case I asked my mother if she didn't think it was weird that at 22 I hadn't had a girlfriend, and she said no. She said no

How the fuck can she help me if she doesn't even think it's strange that I'm a virgin at 22.

i guess some people would prefer to have parents that don't shame them if they haven't had a gf, but in my case i'd prefer them to motivate me and push me to get one, because my mother thinks it's normal and doesn't understand why it has fucked me up mentally.

My parent are catholics by they barely go to church, i've tried attending to some christian churches in my country but i've failed in finding a female. And this "christian" females are whores in disguise a bunch of the time, i don't even know what to do anymore.

of course you didnt, you only went a few times and gave up because the priest didnt stand up and assign you a wife on the spot. you have to continually go - try going to sunday school or adult education classes. also, not sure what country youre in but finding more evangelical women in church isnt super hard, these are the ones that arent horrible either. even if you dont care about that the babushkas will still try to set you up if you get to know them regardless of your looks lol

yeah LDS isnt gonna help you. since youre in colombia try the catholic church. talk to the priest as often as possible too, traditional marriages are normally arranged by them.

My mother has always known it's over. I'm 26, a KHHV. She wants to talk me out of wanting a gf, for the sole reason bc she knows I can't have one. She denies this of course, but it's true. Since about 2021 she always kept saying, till I told her to stop, that "relationships are overrated", "you'll have a lot of problems", "she'll cheat on you", etc.

Today, apparently unrelated to this topic, she randomly said how I should listen to her more and how she means well. I wanted to reply with, "I'm not listening to you on the gf thing", but I bit my tongue.
