Thanks bro. It’s definitely hard because he was the guy I did car projects and work on our cabin with. Now, I have to do those things by myself mostly. It’s not the same without him. I’m doing alright considering the circumstances. The roughest part was the couple days afterwards. It’s also going to be hard this Saturday at his funeral service. At least he was retired for 5 years before he passed and we got to enjoy some quality time together.
im glad you guys were able to have good memories together, i know it might not be the same doing that shit alone but you should do it in his memory man and try to find some joy in it, good luck for the funeral service btw
Thanks. I will definitely keep doing the same stuff we did together. It’s still fun alone, and my mother sometimes likes to go to the cabin with me. She never rode in my dad’s 1971 Camaro, so I will take her for a ride in it sometime soon. Once the funeral is over, then I will start doing more of the stuff again. My dad and I didn’t know at the time, but this was the very last car show we would ever attend together with the blue Camaro back in August 2023. My mother and I literally drove by this same place at 11:45 P.M. after he died in the hospital. It was crazy weird to see this special place all empty at midnight and it brought back the memories and lots of nostalgia.
