If you can pull out the "Fake 'till you make it" game, you should definetly do so. Normies are more inclined to trusting then they are to doubting, so, for example, you can be broke as fuck, but if you're wearing expensive clothes and have some consumer product that holds status (Like a flagship phone, Airpods, Apple watch, a rented luxury car, an expensive perfume) you can pose as a rich guy and people will believe you.
