Remember the days, when the internet was like the wild west and was mostly full of Incels and introverts, and much less w0men.

Those who remember the early till late 2000s remember what I mean.

Yeahh its all gone, replaced with normie crap.

Imagine that our place of escapism became worse then reality sometimes.

i wish i could have experienced it before normie takeover

Tired Good Night GIF by HBO Max

instead of an introvert haven and refugee, it became an extrovert nightmare full of "influencers"

Smartphones destroyed the internet

I dunno. I was on it in 2008 and it was full of normies and attention seeking whores taking pictures of their asses with some stupid quotes.

I guess you gotta go REAL back or you could just go on Tor but that has its own issues.

2000 is when I joined the web. It was nice but got bad very fast.

I lived through that era. In 1997, I already had internet connection at home, and that year I had the whole semester off, so I would stay up all night since it was cheaper at night. It was very different back then; indeed, the normies were still outside, and only had contact because many university students used the internet.

I believe there is a clear before and after. I think what worked against the neurodivergent internet was the viral promotion of the dreadful movie The Blair Witch Project. I remember that the invented rumor about the plot started to appear outside the internet, as if it were something mainstream. In the blink of an eye, I began to see people online that I had never seen before; people interested in nonsense like celebrity gossip started to appear, along with a large presence of foids. The following year, 2000, nothing was like before. All of this got even worse when social networks appeared around 2004-2005, and from then on it was never possible to recover—it unfortunately transformed into the neurotypical internet.
