I saw snakes bunched into welded bleeding bundles that were spaced out in rows like road-blocking logs. I say 'welded' because they looked like they were torched, heavily, or put through a compactor. It was nasty, but they were still moving and the outer layers ones, they almost seemed ready to get out.
Then, get this, I saw people, random passersby, going about their day and jumping over said 'logs' like it's just random debris. The snakes were moving and were angry, but they were focused exclusively on me.
