I've recently watched a documentary about Martin Bryant and what led to his attack on port Arthur. Some of his childhood was really brutal
I'll highlight some brutal stuff he's gone through.
-When he was a kid, he would use to run away from his mother and home so much, to the point of her chaining him up like a dog to her backyard, using a makeshift harness and giving him toys to play with so he doesn't go crazy.
Other neighbors would call CPS and police to check up on them, but upon hearing mother's reasoning, they let them continue on, saying it was necessary for the kid.
-As he grew up, it would be obvious that he was mentally retarded and didn't develop at the pace of an average kid.
-He would claim it was kids who bullied him for acting weird. But also normies would report it was him first who attacked them and they simply ostracized him because "they were afraid of him". (What a load of BS).
-Eventually, they would visit a psychiatrist and he basically told his parents he'll never be able to hold down a job, let alone have a gf, and that speaking to him is like pulling teeth due to not being able to concentrate on one topic
- He would absue his sister and scream at his sister's friends whenever they would appear at his house, making them leave immediately (based).
-His dad tried to bond by taking him to a shooting range, only for him to use the said gun to shoot neighbors' parrots and shoot at random normies driving in cars by the roadside. He would camp in bushes and shoot whatever normie would pass by with their car or at first animal he saw
-Tried to drown a normie year younger than him, making him get suspended for a year in highschool.
-Afer passing highschool, he was out on a disability pension as his psychiatrist told them he could not write, read nor do anything except basic gardening and watching TV.
-He would start a gardening career and fall in love with one of his clients. He would later on live with her.
-Later on, they moved to a different city where Martin would "police it" by shooting at tourists because "they didn't belong here", according to him.
-He would also go around and shoot at sheep and dogs with his air gun
-Martin would purposefully try to steer the wheel so his gf would die and inherit 50k in Australian dollars and a huge farm.
-She actually perished during the car accident funnily enough, with both her and her dogs dying and only Martin surviving. Martin was not found guilty because him found him too stupid to plan out a kill.
-His father disappeared one night, prompting them to go and search by Martin's farm. Martin, despite knowing his father's disappearance, would act nonchalant and even try to hit on several female officers, asking them out on a dinner.
-Police found a suicide suicide note with his body drowning in a river with few animal carcasses. They didn't have enough proof to confirm it was Martin that planned out his murder, dismissing the case. Afterwards, Martin received the inheritance money and had two big mansions to live inside.
-He tried to socialize by buying expensive colourful clothes and lizard shoes. He would walk around the town telling everyone he was a really important man.
- On one ocassion, he would go in a restaurant, dressed in a blue suit and tell every person he saw that he was an important man with boatload of money and he was looking to buy a property. Others would simply laugh at him, thinking he was playing some form of a character.
-He would, (according to people) talk about how much he loved killing dogs, his hatred of asian men and women, and his weird sexual interest of animals (ew, I had only heard about it just now).
So yeah. This man was pretty intense.
