The state of society, entertainment, and the economy. Everything just keeps getting worse. Every year it becomes harder and harder to cope with life.

America and the West in general are slipping into a gynocentric Weimar tier state of being. Trannyism is being completely normalized. It's seen as OK for a mother to groom their boys into being troons. Violence brought on by cultural enrichment? Well, if you call it out you're a bigot. Foids degeneracy is at an all time high. Not only are they fatter than ever, but they're also more degenerate and sadistic. You have whores walking around in crop tops exposing their bloated bellies, laughing and pointing at men they find unattractive.


Entertainment industry has descended into shit. There is no good video games made anymore. Just dumbed-down trash, unoriginal, trite, and soulless remakes. The last times I was looking forward to a game massively were Soulcalibur 6 and Super Mario Odyssey. Both were huge disappointments.

At least we have retro games I guess.

Then we have the job market. It's borderline impossible to find a job, and if you do, it'll be absolutely miserable. The job market and housing costs will only get worse come the inevitable mass migration that's going to happen once Democrats are in again.

I think it massively sped up after the 2008 economic crash. Beforehand it was more gradual. After the economic crash, they doubled down on dei, hr, and the like. Obama tripped down this sort of discriminatory idea that favors women by calling out the gender pay gap myth. You'll notice with every major surge of progressivism, women are the ones who massively benefit while men lose more and more.

I disagree about it not being where the money is, there has been such an industry wide focus on maximizing potential customers that everything singleplayer has turned into the same sort of uniform sludge of being an open world action game with RPG elements, sure the there are a greater number of potential customers by trying to be a little bit of everything while committing to nothing but those customers are largely burnt out and have a massive backlog of similar games with similarly high production budgets, meanwhile if a company just decides to do one thing and do it right they actually have the ability to capture an entire market segment by being best in class rather than trying to appeal to everyone and then failing to thrive because it's having to compete against everything that came before rather than just within it's own genre.

Trying to increase sales by broadening appeal only works when you have a product that used to appeal to a certain segment before, now everything is so painfully generic there's no reason to care about anything that isn't trying to be an unapologetic genre-piece.

Well yeah, when these IPs are run into the ground people stop caring about them because they end up so detached from why people liked them in the first place. TBH I think remakes have the most evergreen potential in endless profiteering over sequels. With remakes as long as you have a large enough back catalogue you can have generationally cyclical release schedule of remakes and and then whenever the second remake comes out enough time will have passed for the first remake to have been forgotten about and to have revived nostalgia for the original IP.

But tbh i wonder if americans or others can totally relate cause it's a very tight muh walkable western euro city. I think the atomization in such places gets even more obvious and disturbing. I assume that even 60 years ago those little blind alleys and stuff were full of life, that you'd hear adults arguing, see children playing and no one would perceive you as some type of thoroughly otherized entity. Then it all died off to become a soulless economic zone.

I already see dumb soys thinking they're smart by using sarcasme like "it was better before !" when actual philosophers agree that those things existed and disappeared due to anthropological changes.

That's all true, there is definitely money to be made by sticking to a formula and being the best at it, but I feel most of these huge game studios just aren't looking to do anything unique like that. Now that the gaming industry has exploded, I just don't think the average gamer has the patience or interest to deal with in-depth RPG storytelling or as @Stupid Clown said complex puzzles that are too challenging. They want an interactive action movie with some RPG elements thrown in.

For some multiplayer genres, like battle royale or FPS, totally. Though I don't think it's like that with singleplayer. These huge studios are strategic in the way they tease and release popular IP games. They know how to ride the hype and/or nostalgia train into the sunset. As slop shooters and dumbed down RPGs keep getting produced, I just don't think the average gamer has the attention span to deal with anything deeper. I highly doubt Fo4 would've been nearly as successful if they went heavier with the RPG stuff. Having a voiced protag and being able to hear Codsworth say your name is just more appealing.

Ofc I'm not an expert and I could be wrong about this, maybe RPG-over-action style games will make a comeback, I'm just doubtful that's where the market is right now.
