Looking through old forecasts, I saw the date when neoliberalism first made a big splash:
“Milton Friedman’s 1970 New York Times article, in which he argued that ‘the social responsibility of business is to increase its profits,’ is often cited as the defining moment of this shift. This was a departure from the Keynesian economics that had become the standard model in developed economies after the Great Depression of the 1930s.”
I also found Friedman's article from September 13, 1970, which was the 55th anniversary of the neoliberal manifesto.
