my dad doesn't care and my mom doesn't either, she has always tried talking me out of wanting a gf (not bc she doesn't want me to have one but bc it's clear she knows I can't). it was always obvious how she spoke about how relationships are "overrated" and "not worth the trouble" and "especially if she's good looking she'll cheat on you" etc. I know she's right but it's still annoying to hear. Also my dad thinks , but doesn't admit, "your only purpose in life is to work and find copes outside of work but work is especially important" (he doesn't say this but it's 100% what he thinks because of what he said and didn't say)
