Bolshevics was most radical. They killed tens of millions of people for the sake of industrialization and a rapid leap in education. Any breakthrough is always achieved at the cost of citizens' lives. Mao, Stalin, the Protestant Reformation, and subsequent religious wars were extremely brutal.
