it's pretty good tbhtbh :feelshehe:

Ok, can you tell me about chapter 8 verse 9? Ok, thanks.

Some of it, not a lot. I actually own 2 Bibles.

I was forced to when I was a kid.

I hated it.

I've read Genesis. I don't see much point in reading the rest.

You, however, are not in the realm of the flesh but are in the realm of the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God lives in you. And if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, they do not belong to Christ.

I did. New testament is the great stuff.
When you read it atttentively you understand that Jesus was an atheist.

No I've read Quran

I know a lot about it just from living normally with contact with many christians, but I never read it myself

bible and quaran talks about end times tho and from events that are happening atm in the world they seem pretty close

Ecclesiastes. It's blackpilled.

Not my cup of tea so no.

yeah, definitively one of the best books (it's pretty short as well)

Bible is a collection of books, so it definitively has its ups and downs, I'm starting a reread (I've read the whole thing once without much previous exposure, because I come from an atheist family, so I didn't retain much details) and I'll try to make a best of compilation, because there's not much point Leviticus, Numbers or most of the New Testament if you're here just for the spicy stuff
I was surprised how much more of less direct Jew-bashing there is, even in the Old Testament (pretty much every prophet tells them they're going astray and need to calm their tits or the Lord will fuck them up and well well guess what happens in the New Testament :feelshehe:)

No I've read Quran
I've read like the first 5 suras, it's good, the narration is much different, I have to try and read the rest of it

Yes, I like some of it.

I took it to mean that Jesus wanted us to reject the world more than anything else, whether or not he was an atheist is impossible to say, but I'm not sure it ultimately matters either way, the messages themselves are of importance. The Bible makes more sense when you take something similar to the Marcion perspective, that the god of the old testament is not the god of the new testament, and ultimately not the true God that Jesus speaks of as his father.

Personally I believe that the concept of God is not what most others understand it as. God is the collective measure of all possibility, and isn't really a "being" at all, as that would mean that it is measurable. The concept of eternal life presented in the Bible is a synonym of nonexistence, as you will be limitless, immeasurable, and ultimately unconscious, you'll join God again, more or less. Although not in the Bible, the Gospel of Thomas seems to suggest the same thing.

1 Timothy 2:12 said:
I do not permit a woman to teach or to assume authority over a man; she must be quiet.

I read most of it. It's extremely silly.

I read the bible a lot back when I was a kid, mostly because my religioncoping parents forced me to

I read it most of it, I read a new verse almost everyday.

There are people who speak judgments which allegedly come from God.

I fully respect such people. Although I do not support this idea of "God", which is based on Judaism and Islam.

In Christianity, God is merciful, so, every Christian should simply do, what Jesus wanted him to do.
I can only say, that every person, to live normally, must feel the "supreme force" above him. Person who thinks "there is no Hell, we can do whatever we want" are the biggest danger for mankind. That's why I criticize
Liberalism, which is based on individualist freedom. People, who act like these, do whatever they want, without looking on the interest of others. It is insane.

Only in recent months, I understood, that the Bible/New Testament is created on the basis of Corporatism. So, it is based on this very basic truth, that not equality, nor individualism, but a joint progress, based on the strong relations(the bind) between the people is an optimum for mankind.

Islam, in this way is similar to Catholicism and Orthodoxy, based on autocratic, dreadful God, not on "truly Christian" merciful one. And Muslim societies are very similar to these, in Eurasia, especially in Russia, Turkmenistan, North Korea and others. Personal autocracy is a product of primitive societies, like Russian, Turkmen, North Korean, but also many Arab one. In Poland, it would be impossible to adopt such a personal autocracy, our tradition is based on elective monarchy and decentralized state, not on centrist, autocracy.

You are absolutely right. I think the same

Can't say I have.

No, really boring

I have read @Ritalincels posts does that count?

I read it on school when I was a kid. (kid bible)

In the old testament god killed more than 25 million (most in the flood)whilst Satan only killed 10 with gods approval, interesting

I have never read a religious book.

i would like to read it soon

I still reread new testament at times.

Boring AF, should only be done if you are religionmaxxing.

It is over for Noreligioncels :feelsrope:

I did when I was about 6-7 years old. Not sure which version of the Bible it was, I forgot.

It's very overrated as a literary work. Almost as overrated as Shakespeare. But then again I hate reading anyway.

Nope, I don't like lie to myself so I'm atheist. Reading bible(quran, tora any religious book) is the same as reading CuckTears, everything tells you that you are wrong but you still believe.
