For example Beyond Good and Evil. It's a fun game but if you want to 100% you have to get all the pearls and animal pictures AKA explore the world and scavenge for collectibles. Still you can find most without really looking since the open world is small and easy to navigate. I think I only missed like 10 pearls.

If I recall correctly the first Assassin's Creed game already had lots of collectibles too though not as exaggerated as the latter games of the franchise.

So yeah when people say Ubisoft was good until they obsessed with collectibles... They were kinda always like that tbh kek

I’ve been playing Rayman 2 and they’ve got like 1000 lums you have to collect in that game.

There so many ubisoft open world styled games man. It's like every open world game is like that. And who even enjoys collecting things in their shitty open worlds. Normies sure as hell don't. Where did they got the idea that people like collecting things in their game? Do these people live under a rock or am i just stupid?

Ubisoft was always mediocre tbh. Sure, they do have some good games here and there but even a broken clock is right twice a day

Their older games were great, it's just a matter if you like or tolerate their collectathons that may or may not be optional

I mean young kids do repetitive tasks sometimes like watching the same movies/shows or playing the same games. So they probably like collectathons.
