Basically everyone with an axe to pick against Brussels or their domestic political rivals is currently jumping at the opportunnity to shit on this, say that they must be placed in charge of either the EU itself or their respective nations, Russia-lovers are saying that muh EU is being colonized and it needs to fight the US and ally with Russia, and so on and so on, we all know the song and dance already. Meanwhile, it's literally just a bunch of empty promises that will lead nowhere, and a good number of the people shitting on it almost certainly know that, but are just taking the chance to push their message.
