I think boys and men in general are more prone to attention deficiency disorders. Girls are also a lot more agreeable and they want to please, its easier for them to just sit in class, concentrate and listen quietly.

There was also a study that showed that when exams became anonymous boys suddenly started to score better and girls started to score worse. Coincidence? Probably not. Women (and especially girls) always get preferential treatment
