The Nordic model or Swedish model of prostitution pushes the buyer of sexual services but not the seller. This is to reduce demand for prostitution and eventually drive it out of business while not punishing the prostitutes themselves. This legislation was pushed and lobbied for by radical feminists but if you're an incel if actually benefits you. A little rule about economics is when demand for something drops but supply stays the same the end price will be lower than it was before. Prostitution is also a semi-fixed supply entity so as demand for it increases the price rises exponentially. There's a certain class of women willing to be prostitutes, even if men bid up the average price of a prostitute 10x it would not bring in 10x the prostitutes to compensate this increased demand, obviously social and cultural reasons are behind this. Most sex-buyers are married men, former normies who are bored with their sex life at home. These men are likely to be most influenced by the Nordic model laws as most beta-normies aren't willing to venture outside the realm of law.

If you're an incel who is willing to escort-max anyway, this benefits you. The amount of women willing to be prostitutes may drop a bit but the demand for prostitution will rapidly decrease, thus lowering the price for prostitution. The cost of breaking-the-law replaces a large portion of the monetary price and allows sex-buyers to pay significantly less for the same service. This is why prostitutes of similar quality are 1/5 the price in Canada as they are in the United States. Canada runs with the Nordic model while America criminalizes the suppliers.

That is stupid. That's like arresting the drug user but letting the drug dealer go free. And what then is even the point of being a drug dealer if it's illegal for your customers to buy your drugs? And worst of all, how can we let a knowing and consenting drug dealer call themselves a victim of the customers they entrap?

Stupid. And we have people in this country who want to follow the examples of Nordic countries.

"little rule about economics is when demand for something drops but supply stays the same the end price will be lower than it was before"

Because the prostitute isn't punished, the supply stays the same, but the drop in customers will lower the price.

Now, I don't agree with the swedish cucks who created this shit, but atleast it has some upsides, before the foids inevitably turn in their sub-8 clients to the cops.

There won't be a drop in customers, prostitution is still very illegal in most of the United States but people seek loopholes, usually with the help of cooperative prostitutes. It's a matter of principle, is why I'm against this. It makes no sense punish only half of the crime.

That is completely idiotic and you are wrong. Here's the proof.

You can go to the Netherlands or Germany right now (where prostitution is legalized) and in some places pay 50 euros to get 1 hour. In places that follow the Nordic model, you are looking at three times the price for worse quality. In Canada, an hour with a mediocre escort costs $300 CAD. I'm talking escorts who are fat, ugly, etc. To get a decent escort in Canada, you're looking at paying $500+ per hour.

All the Nordic Model does is push the trade of sex underground and give more power to women to price discriminate, and refuse sex to clients. It does not actually decrease the demand of sex workers as the demand will always be there. So what you get is a market with imperfect information, where the cost of business is passed onto the consumer. The end result is higher prices and lower quality.

This is in stark contrast to legalization, because legalizing prostitution allows the market be more visible to buyers and sellers. Now sellers have to compete with each other, making prices lower. Legalizing will also allow the creation of companies that sell prostitution, and simple economies of scale tells you that an enterprise with greater starting capital and an ability to have an economies of scale will be able to sell sex for much cheaper than an independent escort will.

And this is true. There's a brothel company in Germany called "Paradise". For 120 euros, you can spend a night in a high-class hotel with a prostitute of your choosing, who has to offer the prices that the company advertises. Good luck getting a better deal from an independent escort.

The Nordic model is stupid, because it is trying to solve the symptom instead of the cause. It assumes that you can somehow affect demand for prostitution by criminalizing it. As long as there are men who cannot get laid, there will always be demand for sex work. The Nordic Model is more than anything an attack on low value men.

your posts are too long and i never read them

Your threads continue to be an embarrassment to your name.

You clearly didn't read my post at all. I explain why it's beneficial for incels.

>That is stupid. That's like arresting the drug user but letting the drug dealer go free.

The makers of this law see prostitutes as victims and sex-buyers as exploiters

THat's the point, you aren't suppose to be a drug dealer

Becasue the theory is prostituted women are victims of structural violence.

I know it's all stupid, but it's still beneficial to incels for the reasons I pertained.

Because you don't understand them

big if true

In the United States it's easily 1000 an hour or more for any serious one, in Canada it's 200/hour.

Your post is extremely retarded. The reason prostitution is so cheap in Europe is because they have an unlimited supply from Eastern Europe to fill the brothels. If Canada or the U.S tried full legalization without an influx of Slavs the price would be much much higher. Ceteris Paribus the nordic model has lower prices than full legalization.

Also economies of scale do not apply to service industries like prostitution. Economies of scale only really exist when it comes to mass-coordination of goods (Amazon), mass production (car manufacturing), or big tech (Apple). Services like prostitution run at maximum efficiency with small firm size.

The Nordic model does reduce the demand for prostitution. Not everyone who uses prostitutes who are incels who will use it no matter what, most are married men looking to cheat on their wives. With them the Nordic model really does drive down demand.

Also I have never been to Canada so i can't say with certainty but my friend said he uses Toronto Passions in Toronto Canada and says it's top tier and it's only like 200-300 per hour.

It's not beneficial to me, because as the drug buyer I go to jail in the worst case scenario. In the best case scenario I meet a prostitute willing to work with me and not snitch. But even still, I refuse to be called a predator for using a legal service. It's ass backwards. Prostitution is by definition illegal if you can be punished for seeking the service, so how can the Nordic model be called "legalized prostitution?" It's so stupid, I cannot dignify it. It's so so stupid, it needs to go away.

It benefits you because YOU WILL NOT GO TO JAIL. The chance of being caught in a sting operation is 0.01% for incalls, and 0% for outcalls. Normies are scared off of using the service which drives the price down, but intelligent incels can still use it without fear of getting caught.

I'm not an escortcel so idc

I could only read half of it. This is retarded. Why would i like risking going to jail? Isn't it better just to legalize prostitution?

1. The risk of incalls is 0.001%

2. The risk of outcalls is 0%

3. Even if you get caught, you won't go to jail, you won't even get a criminal record

4. If you legalize prostitution you will have to pay more for it.

I'd prefer regulated legal services that cost more over whatever you're suggesting here. This strategy seems small IQ

What if the escort turns me in because uh-oh she originally agreed to $200 but now she wants extra and I didn't bring extra and I don't wanna give it to her so now she's like "I'm calling the cops?"

But I'm not worried about getting turned in because a lot of prostitutes like to stay in business. It's a stupid system, that's why I hate it. This system does me no good. Me being the "bad guy" in the situation, no matter how nice I get my dick sucked, does me no good.

I just explained it to you. You get to hire escorts for a cheaper price. Can you not read?

Then you're low IQ.

Jfl @ thinking like this.
I should not get arrested if im paying.
But she should get arrested if she is seeling anything illegal.
law should say "its illegal to sell x" and punish the seller. Its not my problem.

I don't care. I don't care if they pay ME to have sex with them. I will not dignify stupidity.

This is stupid.

Why are you under the impression that incels don't care about the law? How about we don't criminalize anyone so we can spend tax money fighting actual crime? Or better yet, maybe we can keep that money in the pockets of the taxpayers.

I can tell you as an escortcel that the status quo in the UK is fine as is. A large market means variety. I don't know much about the Canadian market but the U.S. market is bad, really bad.

You have no evidence to support your theory that the price elasticity of supply of sex workers is relatively inelastic.

I do have evidence actually. I have a combination of statistical evidence and common knowledge of economic theory. Women generally stay away from prostitution unless they are desperate. Only women from a relatively small class of poverty go into it. Even if a high demand for prostitutes drives their wages through the roof it still won't attract women who have financial alternatives because of the social shame, danger, and stigma surrounding it. The supply of prostitutes remains relatively stationary relative to the general population at large, only the general demand for sex-work impacts the market price.

This

This guy is so fucking stupid its unbelievable, I read the first few lines and immediately thought he was trolling, obviously legalizing something will make it cheaper over time due to competitive pricing on the market rather than making it illegal for only the buyer and because buyers are scared just hope prices will go down, they won't go down, prostitution will just be pushed into the black market and be even more expensive, this common sense

Its like saying making drugs illegal only for drug users, but legal for drug dealers will magically make drugs cheaper, no it won't, it will move the business into the black market and customers will be forced to pay more and can even be black mailed to pay extra afterwards

I would never pay for sex under the nordic model its ridiculous

Its a magical day when Frothy actually makes a logic argument rather than an emotional one

You sure you don't want to add anything about the poor persecuted prostitutes and that this law is about protecting people and safety for all? lol

You're supposed to be some MENSA guy? hahahaha

When you legalize something, it becomes cheaper.

Legalize marijuana, a bunch of growers pop up.

Keep it illegal, then it has to be smuggled in the assholes of donkeys, and the price goes up.

The nordic model is the most cucked on the planet, and those people are cucked in general.

LOL you're mentally retarded.

If you legalize SUPPLY, the price goes down

If you legalize DEMAND, the price goes up.

Marijuana prices drop with legalization because it's the sellers that were criminalized, not the buyers.

If marijuana buyers were suddenly the ones criminalized but the suppliers were still free to supply, the price would drop even further because the suppliers would have a harder time finding buyers. The suppliers would have to offer discounts to tempt the buyers since the buyers already have to pay the cost of breaking the law.

If you criminalize demand, then you're capping supply to whoever's willing to break the law.

Also if "sex sex sex" is everywhere, it becomes easier to find sluts who do it for free, it has sociological and cultural effects on the whole society.

Look at Czechoslovakia, practically the whole country is a slut.

Now look at Norway, land of pearl-clutching hambeasts named Brunhilde.

I definitely do plan on visiting Czech (Eastern Europe) to escortcel

@MENSA_IQcel
Because prostitution is legal there I've spoken to guys who have fucked women that are like 6/10 and up for $30 (US) for 30 minutes, and that's a norm, its cheap because there's a lot of competition

So for 60 fucking dollars I could get an hour with a blonde stacey, but nah, lets make it illegal and it will magically get cheaper

Not true, suppliers can supply the sex-buyers all they want without breaking the law. It only criminalizes the buyer

BLLLLLLLLLLUUUUUUUUUUEEEEEEEPILLLLLL ALERT! :bluepill::bluepill::bluepill::bluepill::bluepill: No nerd, more sluts doesn't mean you get laid, it means CHAD gets laid more. More sluts means more hypergamy which means the chance you'll get laid is actually LESS

Not true, suppliers can supply the sex-buyers all they want without breaking the law. It only criminalizes the buyer

Theoretically if you have 1 buyer, you can have 1000 sellers and drop the price down to a happy meal.

In practice, if you have 1 buyer, 998 sellers shut their doors.

High tide lifts all boats.

80/20 rule.

wouldn't legalization/decriminalization be better especially in the US, you would get a lot more supply because college is expensive in burgerland + the whore would be a prime age college foid who wants to pay off her loans.
With your solution sub8 men have a risk of being turned in if you accidentally piss the foid off.

Just Lmao at this whole thread. I lost a couple of IQ points just reading this thread......

Legalizing supply will always lower the price

Legalizing demand will always raise the price.

You are right in everything you said, but it would still lower the equilibrium price if the demand was criminalized

What you're saying is true if we had a surplus of sex-suppliers, but we don't. The situation is more like this

We have 100 sellers, and 100000000000000000 buyers (obvious exaggeration but it's for the point).

If we decrease the number of buyers to 10000, the price lowers, and maybe 1 or 2 sellers leaves the business.

Right now the number of buyers far outpaces the number of women willing to be prostitutes, even at crazy high equilibrium prices, lowering demand will lower the price. This because there are other facts at play here other than just economics. Social stigma prevents any more than a small percentage of women from ever entering the industry.

Your choice then.

Where is that "statistical evidence"? Let's look at some raw numbers, shall we? Your "common knowledge of economic theory", in this case, consists of nothing more than the type of half-baked arguments that a high school student would put forth.

You allege that the PES (price elasticity of supply) of prostitution is relatively inelastic because there are barriers to entry/exit the market for sex work.

That might be true in closed economies with closed borders. But that is not the case, especially in Europe. Here in the UK, many sex workers are migrants -- they're Polish, Romanians, Czechs, Russians. In the UK market, if demand and consequently price were to shift downwards after the implementation of "Nordic model" regulations, many of these migrants would simply pack their bags and work elsewhere -- in Switzerland, the Netherlands, or Germany, for example. Or they could simply return home. The converse is true: if demand and price in the UK market were to shift upwards, more sex workers would leave other countries and work in the UK. Or new workers could be recruited from their home countries.

The premise of your argument is that there are barriers to entry/exit in this market. I've just shown that that premise is incorrect; I'm not convinced that the PES of prostitution is relatively inelastic. Until you present empirical evidence in the form of controlled pricing data before and after the implementation of a certain policy, I'm not inclined to back your argument. As far as I'm concerned, your policy would simply inconvenience sex buyers -- they would either risk prosecution for a victimless crime or they would have to travel abroad to buy sex legally.
I'm pretty sure you're trolling, no way you believe that ceteris paribus RAISING the demand for a product will make the product CHEAPER

Ceteris paribus is the key word here.

Any change in government policy that influences the demand curve for sex work will almost certainly also influence the supply curve.

Not to mention that all of these models assume there is no information asymmetry. That assumption is bullshit; cases of adverse selection and other Pareto-inefficient market failures will certainly increase in the black market, increasing the likelihood of market collapse. Surprise, surprise...market collapse is actually the goal of any "Nordic model" policies.

The nordic model is the most cucked on the planet, and those people are cucked in general.

I'm not even sure why it's described as "the Nordic model" when only half the Nordic countries have adopted that model.
I think this guy is a troll, he sounds unbelievably stupid, this is why I try not to respond to him much, no matter what you tell him he won't listen, as though he's doing it on purpose, he is literally going to ignore everything you just said

But wait isn't the punishment (for the man) just for illegal/black market hookers... so the nordic systems wants to bring man to get a legal hooker that dose pay taxes and shit.. instead of a cheap one that is a illegal immigrant.

I'm not even sure why it's described as "the Nordic model" when only half the Nordic countries have adopted that model.

Yeah, OP's not the sharpest tool in the shed.

You're an extremely low IQ. As I said, prostitution is only cheap in Europe because they have an influx of supply from Eastern Europe. It's not a closed market, it's an open market. That being said, all things remaining the same, the Nordic model would lower the price because the cost of breaking the law is on the buyer. If the demand for prostitution decreased, many of the escorts would pack their bags and leave, but the change in demand would be greater than the change in supply by a wide margin. This would cause the end price to lower.
But wait isn't the punishment (for the man) just for illegal/black market hookers... so the nordic systems wants to bring man to get a legal hooker that dose pay taxes and shit.. instead of a cheap one that is a illegal immigrant.
So it has noting to do whit trying to suppress the demand.. but retarget it.

No, under the Nordic model all sex-buying is illegal. You aren't allowed to see any prostitute.

It's more useful to model each country as its own market since you're only changing the law in one of them. I'm not the low IQ individual here; your logic is operating off of the assumption that the market is closed and perfectively competitive with perfect information. All I'm saying is that an open market with open borders increases the price elasticity of supply of prostitutes. The elasticity is one of our two main contentions here.

You still haven't shown me the proof that "the change in demand would be greater than the change in supply by a wide margin". Where are your numbers? You said you had them.

Yes, nothing makes my life easier than supporting a law that would criminalize the activities that I currently do. Do you even read before you click "post"?

I definitely do plan on visiting Czech (Eastern Europe) to escortcel

@MENSA_IQcel

Holy fuck i need to go to EE atleast once in my life

I think this guy is a troll, he sounds unbelievably stupid, this is why I try not to respond to him much, no matter what you tell him he won't listen, as though he's doing it on purpose, he is literally going to ignore everything you just said

All you had to do was was look at his name to see it's a troll mascarading as an intellectual.

Dont bother wasting your time.

I don't need to prove it, it's basic economic theory. Any changes in supply due to a change in demand will be less than the initial change in demand. Only in the """"long-run"""" does this not happen which is a fully theoretical concept.

And why do you care if what you do is criminalized if you will never face consequences for it or ever get charged for it under the law ever? Even where the Nordic model is applied no one gets in trouble for it unless they're very low IQ and walk into an obvious incall sting operation.

We're addressing elasticity.

You're moving the goalposts.

Don't be stupid.

What stops the state from using the law to crack down on punters? I'd rather not take the risk. I love living in a country where the state pretty much turns a blind eye to the entire issue.

You haven't got anything to offer this forum other than your pseudointellectual sanctimonious moralfagging.
