The gamer sphere seems to have convinced itself that a re-master of Oblivion has been carried out in secret, and will drop within the next week or two.

I'll believe it when I see it on Steam... I saw that ES6 teaser image and then years went by. So fool me once, shame on you; but fool me twice, shame on me.

What do you all think?

It's the shittiest elder scrolls play Morrowind instead

I can't even handle Oblivion with NPCs who look like potatoes.

Morrowind looks like it would run on the Sega Master System II. I just can't with that shit.

Even Morrowboomers who spam up every chat group talking about how Morrowind > All, aren't playing Morrowind..... they're all playing Skyrim with DLC and mods that bring Morrowind shit into Skyrim.... so they can tell everyone how superior Morrowind is while they play Skyrim.

nigga i was like 11 years old when Morrowind came out.

Skyrim is better than Oblivion, at least the graphics are good. Oblivion is just a shit game, I didn't even finish the main quest because it was so boring. Morrowind had a good story and a lot of content, Skyrim has better graphics.

The Indian devs have ruined the artstyle of the original, by making everything shit brown. :feelspuke:

People are so starved of TES content that they're losing their shit over another half-assed UE5 remaster. For all they know, this could be as bad as the GTA: Definitive Editions.

Good.

I tried to enjoy ESO but everything is bright and colorful like a cartoon. Everything except you. Your sword and armour are mud.

an oblivion remaster was the least interesting thing they could have realistically done, as soon as I heard the news I was disappointed, the game doesn't need a remaster, sure, in its vanilla state its got problems, namely the leveling problem, but other then that its FINE. I wish they'd remaster an older instalment or make a original instalment, what's it been now? 14 years? lol

OK it's real.

I never played the original. But I went straight from seeing the trailer to giving steam my money. Guess I'll be playing Oblivion this weekend...

i hope its moddable and lives up to skyrim too.

Most of my Skyrim mods are
  • Better looking sky, weather, mountains
  • New islands/places to go adventuring
  • Shiny swords
  • Sexy armour for the wimmins
New Oblivion looks beautiful to me straight out of the box. And I've never played oblivion before. So this appears to have two of the 4 things I modded Skyrim for, straight out of the box in the base game. Happy days.

it looks awful, gamers should stop supporting this shit

I am SO here for this.

If I had spent years playing this back in the day, maybe I wouldn't bother.

But I didn't, so that means this is a whole new game to me.

I'm going to get it but I can't find any info if there's going to be a physical release.

I want it physical too tbh, I like the option to sell my games. I've had physical games that have gone up in value since buying them. It's way better to actually own your games.

I'm a bit of a technophobe so I like the idea of owning a physical boot disc in it's case that I can keep on a book shelf. But the steam launcher is saved on one of my physical SSDs that I own, and Skyrim is saved on my other physical SSD that I own, all of that will run off-line.

So in that sense I feel like I "physically own" them and I'm not really dependent on someone else's business or web service continuing to exist to keep playing the games that I own. Of course if steam went out of business then I wouldn't be able to easily re-download "my" games in a fresh install on a new machine...

Not going to pay $40 for a game I already own. I will never touch Bethesda slop ever again.
