Typed a thread about this a while ago, responded to a few threads regarding this topic, but here we go again... Not a day goes by where these irrational and stressed out idiots don't appear on the feed.
ATLAS is not an alien probe, not planting spy gadgets, and not a threat. It’s simply an interstellar object and basically an overhyped space rock from outside our solar system, similar to Oumuamua and Borisov, which we've seen before
The speed is 130,000 mph which sounds fast for the human mind, but it's completely normal for a comet or asteroid being pulled by the Sun’s gravity.
For reference our Voyager 1 (a human-made probe launched in 1977), is traveling over 38,000 mph. Speed alone doesn’t imply alien tech. It’s just a rock on a flyby, bunch of idiots.
The alien theory comes from a heavily criticized speculation about a completely different object (Oumuamua), and even that was based on a single anomaly in its motion, which has since been explained by natural outgassing. There’s literally zero evidence of artificial behavior, no course changes, no tech, no deceleration. It’s following a hyperbolic orbit, which means it will swing by and leave like many comets do. Long story short, it's a natural object, probably a chunk of ice or rock kicked out from another star system.
