Depends on where you are in EE. Rural communities are male-centric as fuck, women can't go out alone and cheating usually ends with the death of the foid.

Seriously, I'm not a scholar. But I think that after huge male losses in Russian Civil War, Repressions, WW2, USSR basically turned to matriarchy.
With a total lack of men they were forced to put women everywhere, from doctors to teachers, from factory workers to judges.
Men were raised mostly by women after WW2.

not sure about Poland, Romania, Bulgaria, baltic states but in Russia, Ukraine and Belarus villages are mostly extinct, mostly old people live there until they die. When i was in village i didn't see really that men are dominating there, mostly women control their husbands to do all the job. In Belarus i was in village and only 1 old man was living there together with around 4-5 old women, they're all older than 50. First off Poland is in Central Europe, the Baltics are the Baltics and I know nothing about Russia, Belarus or Ukraine. However that is the way things still are in Romanian and Bulgarian villages. Where I was women used to leave their men alone to do whatever and never nag them in public, nagging in public meant a beating. Now I don't know what they did in private, however I imagine that the men could get away with more than in public.

Yes, Eastern Europe in many ways is way worse in terms of feminism than Western Europe.
