ARLINGTON, TX — Four people were injured in a shooting when a student opened fire during a fight at Timberview High School Wednesday, according to video and reports.
Police responded to the school following a report of a shooting at around 9:15am.
A fight broke out between students on the second floor of the school when one of the students pulled out a gun and began shooting.
Three people were taken to the hospital, two with gunshot wounds.
A 15-year-old male was shot and remains in critical condition, a 25-year-old male was shot and is listed in good condition, a teenage girl suffered small abrasions and is expected to fully recover.
A pregnant teacher was also hurt in a fall and was treated at the scene, authorities said.
Arlington police said they arrested and charged 18-year-old Timothy George Simpkins with three counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon in connection to the incident.
Simpkins initially fled the scene in a silver 2018 Dodge Charger and was arrested Wednesday afternoon after a statewide manhunt.
A .45 caliber gun has been recovered, according to police.
