Serious Does young people mainly use Instagram to communicate in your place?

I've posted a post ranting about how annoying it is to have to post on Instagram almost daily, and some users have pointed out that this isn't the norm globally, which has inspired to make this thread.

In my place, generally there are two ways to meet people.

1.go to events
2.meet online

Most "relationships" or "friendships" will turn online once the common meetings (for example let's say a cooking class) stop and the "friendship" will turn online, in which, ghosting will happen or at least the conversations will become extremely shallow.

Yes. They do. Unfortunately. Back when I was still trying to make friends no one wanted my number, or even my gamertag for online games, but instead my "snap", or my "instagram". It was confusing to say the least, since I had never even been on social media like that before, and didnt even know what a "story" was.
I quickly saw that everyone on there is a fake fuck and how despite that everyone practically worshiped the ideas and people on those platforms.
I deleted all my accounts, and thus have no friends.

Some of them dont even give their number, just their Instagram account. Since i wanted to keep contacts with a guy from driving school, i asked him for his number but the nigga didnt trust me for some reason, so he gave me his Insta name and i had to write him via my non NT Instagram meme page
