Does water cooling for a gaming PC create less heat than fan cooling ?

When im using my PC i often have the issue that it heats up my room quiet a bit, sometimes even 2 degrees celsius or even more. I use a fan cooling system, would my room heat up less if i used water cooling instead or would be the produced heat around the same ?

No. Water cooling is better at cooling your PC (and not worth it unless you're a heavy overclocker, but I digress), but heat energy just doesn't go away. The radiator still blows it out into your room.

hmm, any ideas how to cool down a heated up room efficently without A/C ? Opening a windows is no option in summer for obvious reasons

i disagree with first reply. since its being water cooled, there is less rpm required to maintain your pc at a cooled temperature. I also would suggest to buy reverse fans, or change the orientation of the air to get it away from ur face

What difference would it make which direction the air goes out ? It will still heat up my room noticably

Once the peak heat of the day passes, blow a fan out the window on the warmer side of the house and let open window on the cooler side create a breeze. Best you can really do. It makes more of a difference than you'd think, especially in a 2nd floor apartment like mine.

I have a portable AC and hate it. I only use it when necessary (35C+ heat indices).

This, the heat energy is still the same it's just managed more efficiently

So i should place a fan in the direction of my open window ?

PC produces heat. Cooling just pulls the heat from the parts and pushes it out. The more cooling, the more room will heat.
Water cooling is just quieter than air cooling and not always better (high quality fans are equal or better). And it is more prone to failure.

This, i always prefer liquid cooling because i hate loud fans

get a quiet mouse and use non mechanical cooler it is a life changer. I also put earplugs before putting my headphones.

Yes, preferably have at least 2 windows open on opposite sides with 1 blowing fan out the window. That creates a vacuum effect and sucks in cooler air. If you only have 1 window, it's better than nothing.

because you wont notice it if its not going straight in your face

my pc is entirely air cooled and it's dead silent even when the gpu is super active
regardless you'd probably have fans anyways because you'd probably be using an AIO lel

you think saying i hate loud fans means i dont use them? Interesting
I like fans to stay under 1300rpm or i can hear it through my hd800S

i reckon that's a reasonable conclusion as i'd assume one would avoid using something they hate
not as if you could never use fans but you'd at least try to avoid them as much as possible

I dont think ive seen a custom loop that doesnt use fans, maybe cold cathodes?
Also "loud fans" not "fans"
Do you happen to be a jeetbrain?

i know but you can get fans that aren't loud like those by noctua or something, so since that's redundant i assumed you meant all fans

nope i'm just retarded

Impressive, maybe i will use a mineral oil case next desktop i get, will post it here just for u

go ahead, i certainly give a shit about what you do

I have a Scythe Fuma cooler where the fans are near silent, at the cost of minor performance below other coolers. But, if you care about noise to such levels, get a top-end liquid one.

Its the cpu gpu that create heat not the cooling system

No you're just overpaying to PC jews for the same result as air cooling. Watercooling essentially does the same job by cooling the water and transferring its temperature to the small heatsink and CPU lid. Aircooling with 2 hueg fans has the same temperature and noise as 2 hueg fans watercooling instead.

I built my system with an air cooler for the CPU and haven't had any heating problems at all. My CPU is a 7800X3D. The cooler is an absolute beast though and it was expensive.

Even with 9800x3d or 16 core CPUs, air cooling more than does the job. CPUs are far more efficient than they used to be. The only exception I'd say now are like 13-14th gen Intel CPUs that are known to run hot unless you really know what you're doing.

Yes it's better but managing it will be a pain in the ass good luck with water leaks
