Start with a low dose of finasteride maybe .5 mg EOD to test the waters. And then scale up. Most importantly, fix up your diet. Look into dannyroddy.com - he was able to stop his baldness without finasteride
It does. But in very small percentage of cases, it causes erectile dysfunction. Sometimes temporary, sometimes permanent.
Also try Minoxidil (known as Rogaine). It reduces the rate of hairloss, gives health and thickness to existing hair, but unlike Finasteride it can not halt the process itself.

JFL at that ending terrible advice. Men go bald because of DHT and sensitivity to DHT not because of their fucking diet. It's hormonal; stopping eating dairy and wheat doesn't reverse baldness.

I shed less on that diet then I did before while taking Fin. Take Fin and reduce inflammation in the body which has been linked with baldness. But do whatever you want.

I was on it for a month and a half. I'm currently NW2. My dick didn't work properly and the orgasms were weak. When even fapping doesn't give you a temporary relief, you know it's not worth it, not to mention buying the pills every month for rest of your life. There is also the issue with facial bloat.

Then I started taking Propecia, and after a few month the hair loss stopped. I just wish I had started taking it earlier, so my hairline didn't recede at all.

I think this was due to age, porn-addiction, and especially SSRIs. Personally I don't think the Finasteride contributed much if at all to my impotence. I think my dick would work okay if I got off the SSRIs, but right now there really is no need to (since no one will have sex with me anyway).
Oh, and yes you do have to take it forever to make it work. It costs me about 30 dollars a month for the generic, but the price can vary a lot depending on your insurance. For instance, my dad gets it for free for his prostate.
