It's a comic series published by Avatar Press and it's basically a zombie apocalypse comic but technically they're not zombies, they're infected with a virus of unknown origin that turns them into violent psychos that murder and rape everything on sight in the most gore and brutal ways kek. It's a long series with different arcs, some of them are geniunely good and others are just edgy gore comics but still fun to read, I've read all of them except "Crossed +100" and "Wish you were here" because I didn't have time and now I'm reading other stuff. Summary of the series and my personal opinion:
-Crossed (the original): 10 number series that stared it all, Garth Ennis is the writer so it's good
Funny how even if it has a lot of brutal and gore moments compared to other arcs is very soft, gives you an idea on how fucked up the series can get kek.
-Family values: IMO it was boring and forgettable, it's about a mormon group of survivors from a ranch and there's incest and all that sheit but just for the shock value.
-Psychopath: It's very fucked up and edgy but sooo fun to read, the plot is that a group of survivors find another guy and they let him in the group but he's even more fucked up than the Crossed so it's interesting.
-Badlands: It's a 100 number series with many independent arcs so I can't really comment on this one. But objectively most arcs are decent, a few are very good and some are bad. However I think it's the best series because you can see different art styles and writers because they change with each arc.
-+100: Haven't read it, the plot says it's set 100 years later than the first series so most crossed have died so survival isn't so difficult as in the begining of the infection. Since Alan Moore is the writer it's more philosophical and less edgy than the rest of the series I guess.
Also I think this is the worst and most depressing world to be a survivor. In zombie apocalypses at least there's some hope of rebuilding the world or zombies have some weak point (they're stupid, slow or both). In the crossed world the infected are stronger than you, they retain their human intelligence and if they catch you you're guaranteed to have a horrible death. I would just get a gun and end it myself if I were in their position.
