Does anyone get surprised when someone remember their details?

In real life or online, I view myself as a cog in the machine — irrelevant, completely mundane, and effectively invisible in the mass. After all, the food workers see thousands of faces everyday; likewise, in online forums, where your apperance is not even known, you would basically disappear into nameless users.
Logically, you should be anomymous....right?

While true for most of cases, I find some people having specifically good memory.

1. Convenience store clerk

I would purchase 2x salads every once in a while, she said:"you really like to eat these".

2. Convenience store clerk #2

As a store is closing down, she told me: "we will be closing down and moving to the nearby location (a year later, I saw her in the nearby location).

3. Forum users

I have specific details, like my city, I expect people here to completely forget the useless info (to them), but months later they surprisingly recalled it.

It’s just reinforcement, if you see someone every week for a few months then you start to remember little things.

I make a conscious effort to remember details about users I've seen, especially ones I have personally interacted with (even if only once). As for users I like or am interested in, I keep up with their latest posts as well as check out their older ones every now and then. Regardless of what information I know about a user, or anyone I see in life, I always try to imagine their entire life story and current mood, so that I can guess the meaning of what they're trying to say as accurately as possible. Trying to read between the lines of a post goes without saying, and I place special attention on the information people choose to omit, whether consciously or unconsciously, as I believe that tends to inform the "real" message of what someone is trying to say, if you will.

If I really need to get into the weeds I will even speculate on the things a person might have said differently given a different circumstance, or even what different types of people might have said if they thought about the same thing. Likewise, if I choose to reply to a person I might think of a couple different things to say, and what kind of responses I ought to get from each one of those, so that I can weigh the consequences and decide whether it's worth it for me to respond or not. All of this is a lifelong habit of mine, originally developed as a survival mechanic since I'm a giga-mentalcel, but eventually it evolved into a genuine interest for the minds of other people. I know that I'm an alien for doing this, most all people only ever think about themselves. Part of it is probably that it's been a long time since my mind held any mysteries to me, so I have to think about other people.

TL;DR: I am a major creepcel and nutcase.
