I can see the appeal of these CRT filters. The 2nd and 3rd CRT images actually look quite nice, though I don't use these filters myself as I prefer complete clarity. There is also a fair argument to be made that viewing a game on a CRT is more accurate to the artists' intent, as they designed and made their digital art on and for CRT screens.
Very few people have the money and space to justify purchasing a CRT screen to play old games on. Filters like this probably aren't too dissimilar to a CRT screen anyways.
